Step 1: Choose the style that fits your music
Go to https://freebeat.ai/agent and select the Music Video option at the top of the page.
Start by choosing the visual mode that best matches the mood and direction of your song. Freebeat provides three creative modes, each offering a different type of storytelling and motion:
Singing A virtual artist lip-syncing to your vocals.
Storytelling A cinematic narrative with customizable plots, scenes, and visual pacing.
Automatic Let AI listen to your track and generate a style that matches its emotion and energy.
Select the style that aligns with the experience you want your audience to feel before moving forward.
Step 2: Choose Your Generation Setting (Fast or Expert)
After selecting your mode, choose how you want Freebeat to generate the video:
Fast Prioritizes speed and gives you a quick preview of your concept. Ideal for testing ideas or rapid creation.
Expert Delivers cinematic-level quality with enhanced camera work, scene transitions, and refined visual coherence. Expert mode requires more generation time and additional credits. For detailed credit usage, visit: https://freebeat.ai/agent/membership
Step 3: Upload Your Song
Go to https://freebeat.ai/agent and select the Music Video option at the top of the page. Once you enter the workspace, your first task is to choose the music you want to turn into a video. Freebeat gives you multiple ways to bring in your track:
Upload your own file Freebeat supports MP3, and M4A, so you can use any track you have composed, produced, downloaded, or mixed.
Select an asset from your Freebeat library If you have previously generated music through Freebeat’s built-in tools at https://freebeat.ai/music-generator, you can simply pick it from the Select asset tab.
Paste a supported music URL You can also import music directly from supported platforms. Paste a link and click Enter. Supported platforms include: Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Suno, Udio, TikTok, Stable Audio, and Riffusion.
Freebeat will automatically analyze the tempo, mood, and structure of your song to prepare the visual sequence.
Step 4: Choose Your Character
You can include up to two characters in your video.
Upload your own custom design or choose from over 30 preset styles available inside Freebeat, such as: Neon Diva, Hop Man, Pop Star, Joker, Kpop Girl, Pop Singer, Arabian Prince, Hamster, Seagull, Mario, Pikachu, Hip Hop Noble, Kpop Star, Chill Rapper, Street Dancer, Black Queen, Wizard, SpongeBob, Cartoon Girl, Fox, Mermaid, Ottman, Po, Frog, Puppy, Bunny, Koala, Orange Cat, Pig, and Polar Bear.
Step 5: Choose Your Aspect Ratio
Select the format that works best for your target platform. Available options include 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, and 3:4. Once you click Create and the workflow begins, this setting cannot be changed, so make sure to pick the ratio that fits your distribution needs.
Each aspect ratio corresponds naturally to different social platforms:
9:16 is ideal for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
16:9 works best for YouTube and widescreen viewing.
1:1 and 4:3 are commonly used for classic formats or certain Instagram feeds. Choosing the right ratio ensures your video displays perfectly on the platform where your audience is most active.
Step 6: Choose Your Resolution
Choose between 720p and 1080p depending on the quality and rendering speed you prefer.
Step 7: Choose Your Video Style
Define your video’s aesthetic by writing your own style prompt or selecting from preset styles, such as:

Step 8: Choose Your Caption
In this step, you can customize how your lyrics appear on screen. Captions are optional, so you can skip this step entirely if you prefer a clean, text-free music video.
If you choose to add captions, Freebeat provides a full suite of tools under three tabs—Presets, Font, and Effects—allowing you to control the look, motion, and emphasis of your on-screen text.
Presets
Start by choosing from 22 preset caption styles, each with its own color and visual personality. These presets instantly style your lyrics with coordinated color and animation effects.

These animations help your captions feel more dynamic and visually engaging while staying synchronized with the music.
Step 9: Remove Watermark
Use the Remove watermark toggle if you want a clean export without the Freebeat watermark. This is useful when you are preparing cover visuals for releases, official channels, or brand pages.
Step 10: Select Auto
Turn on Auto to let Freebeat handle the entire workflow automatically from start to finish. When Auto is enabled, the Agent will move through every stage—including storyboard creation and video clip generation—without requiring any manual confirmation.
If you turn Auto off, you can review and approve each step individually. This gives you full creative control during both the storyboard stage and the video clip stage. At each scene, you can enter new prompts, refine details, or give entirely different instructions to personalize the visuals. This option is ideal if you want to experiment with different moods, adjust character behavior, or customize specific scenes before moving forward.
Step 11: Select Public Visibility
Choose whether your final video will be:
Public (visible in the Freebeat community gallery)
Private (only you can access it)
Step 12: Add a Description and Generate Your Video
Enter a short prompt in the description box to describe the tone, style, or atmosphere you want the AI to follow. If you’re not sure what to write, you can click Enhance prompt with AI in the lower-right corner to automatically improve and expand your description with more detail and creativity.
After reviewing all your settings, click Create to start the generation process and transform your track into a fully synchronized music video.
Step 13: Generate Your Video
Once you click Create, Freebeat begins processing your project. The system analyzes your audio, applies your selected settings, and moves through several core stages of generation.
First is the moodboard and storyboard stage, where Freebeat develops the visual plan for your video. It defines the scene structure, tone, camera direction, and how each moment aligns with your music’s rhythm and emotional peaks to ensure the creative direction stays cohesive and beat-synced.
Next is the video clip generation stage, where each storyboarded scene becomes a fully animated clip. Characters, objects, and visual elements are rendered with AI while maintaining cross-scene consistency, so character design, outfits, and key props remain identical across all scenes. This creates a smooth and continuous narrative throughout the entire video.
If you did not select Auto mode, you can manually refine each part of the workflow:
Edit or replace any static storyboard image
Modify any animated video scene
Individually download every generated image or clip
Use Enhance prompt with AI (bottom left) to optimize prompts for specific scenes
When all scenes are generated, Freebeat will send you an email notifying you that your full scene set is ready for review.
Step 14: Final Rendering and Completion
After all clips are created, Freebeat enters the final stage: Merging Video Segments into a complete, seamless music video. During this step, the system automatically adds intro and outro transitions, connecting the first and last scenes smoothly and enhancing the overall flow of the video. These transitions are designed to match the pacing and mood of your song.
Final rendering typically takes 3 to 4 minutes. Once everything is complete, you will see a confirmation message: “Congratulations! Your music video has been generated successfully.”
You will receive a final email notification as well, allowing you to instantly view, download, or share your finished video.
